Help & support

Follow the steps below to move a RideAware route to your bike computer.

Ride your route on a bike computer

RideAware routes work with Wahoo and Garmin head units. Wahoo riders can send a route straight across; Garmin riders save a file and import it.

Wahoo ELEMNT — send it straight across

Connect your Wahoo account once, then send any route to your ELEMNT. No files, no cables.

Connect your Wahoo account (once)

  1. In RideAware, go to Settings, then Connected accounts.
  2. Under "Your Wahoo account", tap Connect.
  3. Sign in to Wahoo and approve the permissions.

Send a route

  1. Plan a route, or open a saved one from My Routes.
  2. Tap Send to Wahoo — the gauge icon on the pre-ride screen, or the "Send to Wahoo" button on a route card in My Routes.
  3. The route appears in your Wahoo route library and syncs to your ELEMNT automatically the next time it connects.

Garmin — save the file and import it

Save your route as a file and import it in Garmin Connect.

  1. In RideAware, tap Save GPX — the download icon on the pre-ride screen, or the Save GPX button in My Routes.
  2. Send the file to yourself by email, AirDrop or Files.
  3. On the Garmin Connect website, open the menu and go to Training, then Courses.
  4. Choose Create a Course, then Import, and select your .gpx file.
  5. Save the course, then use Send to Device to push it to your Garmin.
