Who we are

RideAware is a cycling safety app for iPhone, built in Sydney, Australia. This policy explains what we collect and why. Questions? Email hello@rideaware.com.au.

What we collect

  • Location data: used to plan routes, score them for safety, warn you about hazards ahead, and power live ride tracking.
  • Ride data: routes, distance, duration and elevation for your own history.
  • Emergency contact details: the name and mobile number you choose, used only to send an SMS if a fall is detected and you don't dismiss the countdown.
  • Diagnostics: anonymous crash and performance data to keep the app stable.

How we use it

We use your data to deliver the features you've turned on. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your location for advertising.

Sharing

Your live location is shared only with people you explicitly invite to follow a ride, and with your emergency contact when fall detection triggers. RideAware never contacts emergency services on your behalf.

Your choices

You can turn off fall detection, live tracking or location permissions at any time in the app or in iOS Settings. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us.
